This morning I was running late (as usual), and didn't have the time I would have liked to get ready, so my hair ended up really flat and yucky. I was subconciously whining to myself about it all day. Made it through work and I came to the Sports Academy to work out. I go to put my hair up, and this lady with a shaved head looks into the mirror next to mine and rubs her stubble and says, "Well, at least it's growing back!" with a smile on her face.
It was one of those moments that just makes you stop and think and kind of kick yourself for being so selfish and worring about such small and simple things. Now, I don't know her personal story. I don't know if she actually had cancer or some other type of illness that made her loose her hair or if it were even her choice. I just made me grateful that I have hair. That I have two legs to get me through my de-stressing runs. That I am healthy and happy and can get through life with considerable ease.
Thank you, God.
It's so good to have wake up calls like that huh! It happens to me all the time
